About Me
Hi! My name is Jarod Najera, and I'm a full-stack web and mobile developer. As a full-stack developer, this means that I'm able to design and maintain both websites and mobile applications all on my own! I'm always learning new technologies and perfecting my craft, so my tech stack is constantly changing. I have a wide variety of projects under my belt which you can check out here!
My coding journey started when I was 10 and discovered Scratch when looking for online flash games to play. With Scratch, I fell in love with designing and creating my own games for others to play. I soon found out about GameMaker, and wrote my first line of code trying to create my own version of Space Invaders. In 2023, I received my bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside.

Pocket Botanist
Project made for BioHack@UCR 2023
Mobile application that takes pictures of plants and sends them to the Plant.id API for identification.
It will tell you the plant's name with a picture of it, and if it's edible or not. If you have a sick house plant, you can diagnose plant
illnesses with it as well.
Tune-Fi
Web application that allows that allows users to create pages for uploading their music, creating event posts for their concerts or meet ups, and communicating with their fans. Users are also able to follow and keep up with their favorite artists. Implemented 2FA and password hashing for authentication.
CHOPPED
Project made for CS 180: Software Engineering
Web application for looking up easy to make recipes. Allows users to sign up
and add recipes of their own. Users are also able to rate recipes.
